Under normal circumstances, the breather valve stays closed. However, in the case of adding oil, removing oil and temperature fluctuations, the pressure in the trucks alters correspondingly. In such cases, for the purposes of exhaling or inhaling, as well as keeping the inner pressure within a designated range, the breather valves open automatically.

 

When emergencies happen, such as fire accidents, the emergency ventilation valves open to release the inner pressure so as to avoid explosion.
